Buying a Property in Denmark

Other costs that need to be considered for foreigners buying property are agent fees, notary fees, registration fees, taxes, etc. Normally, real estate agents are negotiable and ranges from 0.5% to 2% of the value of the property and the services rendered. Registration fees paid at the Land Registry costs DKK1,400.00 (approximately USD$239.00) plus 0.6% of the property value.

    Thursday, 31 January 2013 Expats who do not have a CPR number will find difficulty in getting a long-term rental. This is the first thing that is asked prior to signing a tenancy agreement. Lease contracts usually require the tenant to live in the property for at least 180 days per year and to register at the National Registration Office. A month's notice is needed if tenants want to leave the property.
